The purpose of these open forum groups is to provide the local community a time and place where individuals will be able to meet with others who are experiencing the effects of bereavement and will understand something of how they are feeling. The groups meet socially once biweekly in Barking Greater London (face to face.) The focus is on the group experience. While the therapists lead the group discussion, they act as facilitators rather than an instructor. Attendees participate by engaging in group discussions and activities.
