Building Connections with Associates, Neighbours, Family, and Friends through Communities. Improving Our Mental Health and Well-being.
Located in London, Essex and Barking UK, Suresteps Wellbeing Services (SWS) began in 2017 and became a registered Community Interest Company in 2022. Our purpose is to build stronger communities by improving mental health, emotional wellbeing, and family connections.
We create safe, culturally sensitive spaces where individuals and families feel validated, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Our work encompasses grief support, wellbeing groups, family play sessions, and emerging life-skills programmes designed to empower children young people and parents.
What We Do:
Luminous Steps
Learning to Live With Grief & Loss
Luminous Steps is a gentle, judgment-free space for anyone coping with grief and bereavement. We welcome all cultures and communities, offering a place to feel validated and understood as you talk and work through your experiences.
Alongside our inclusive support, we offer a dedicated strand for BAME individuals bereaved by suicide. This specialist focus builds on our National Lottery–funded work and responds to the unique cultural and emotional needs shared by local residents. Allies who wish to learn and support the community are warmly welcomed.
Our sessions are run by qualified counsellors and people with lived experience. We provide a range of supportive activities, including open discussions, creative work, journaling, nature-based wellbeing practices, films, blogs, and guided conversations. Peer connection and mutual support are at the heart of everything we do.
Luminous Steps helps you honour your story, connect with others, and find moments of light as you move forward at your own pace.
