Suresteps Wellbeing
Benefits of Improving Our Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Improving our mental health strengthens how we cope with life’s challenges, deepens our relationships, and supports a greater sense of identity, confidence, and belonging. At Suresteps Wellbeing Services, we work with individuals, families, children, young people, and communities to enhance wellbeing through play, connection, conversation, emotional support, psychoeducation, counselling, and practical life skills. Our work is informed by research, including Dr Ylenio Longo’s study identifying fourteen recurring frames people use to describe wellbeing — happiness, vitality, calmness, optimism, involvement, selfawareness, selfacceptance, selfworth, competence, development, purpose, significance, congruence, and connection. These frames guide how we design our programmes and support people across all ages. We promote wellbeing through all SWS strands, including: Games Time (Ages 2–5, 6–12 and 13-14), Life Skills & Wellbeing Programme (Ages 6–30+), Psychoeducation Groups, Counselling, Community Conversation Café, and Bereavement and Emotional Support.
